Day 6...Bandage Contact still in...

hello again, everyone! matt, great idea for the forum. thank you again for hosting us.

i was scheduled to have my bandage contact out tuesday 1/23 (day 4) and my dr. said i was only 95% healed but looked good.

i tested 20/70, but believe me, i could barely make out the big E, so i was a little worried. i am scheduled to go tomorrow and remove the contact, so i really hope my blurry vision is from this contact lense being in for 6 days.

since yesterday (day 5) all the pain and discomfort is completely gone and my eye feels great. my vision has finally begun to get more clear as of today, so we'll see what happens tomorrow. i am still unable to drive and reading and computer work has been challenging.

i am scheduled for eye #2, next friday, 2/2. i can't imagine doing both eyes at the same time and i can't even believe that my dr. tried to talk me into it! i would have been unable to work, drive or even leave the house for 2 weeks probably.

Get ready to regress a few days

Right after he takes out that contact, your vision will probably regress and the eye will start hurting again. At least that's what happened to me. I remember be anxious to get the bandage out, thinking that somehow my healing would be better without them. Let us know how it goes!

how long did it take to get to crisp vision?

hi matt, how long did it take to get to crisp vision for you? i know they say anywhere from 2-6 months, but each day it seems to be getting better for me, but i could never wait 2 months for this to stabilize - i would go crazy...

After about 3 months I had crisp vision until after work. After 6 months, I had crisp vision until like 10:30 pm. Now I have crisp vision all of the time; very seldomly my eyes will dry out (and kind of fuzz out) for a few minutes.

hi matt, i get the fuzz and haziness intermittently still too... how is your color perception?
