I had PRK performed on my

I had PRK performed on my Left eye on 1/19/07. Since my prescription is pretty high (-7.50), I am prepared for only 20/40 vision. The first few days were moderately uncomfortbale and vision was very blurry, distorted, hazy and only slightly better than before surgery. Today is day 5 and I am scheduled to have my contact lense removed today. Work for the past 2 days has been difficult and my vision and pain this morning was probably the worst its been. I am getting nervous, bc my vision is just not clear and frankly almost no better than before surgery. I am following my dropping schedule and having no moments of clarity at all, but then again my prescription is much higher than most people. I will send an update later this week with my progress and thanks again for this blog. It alleviated a lot of my concerns.

Should I have PRK surgery?

I have been reading your comments and I am a little wary of getting the PRK surgery. I have the surgery schedule for Thursday.

I have a -12.75 and large pupils, so Lasik is out for me? I have also been told that I might have permanent haloing because my eyes are so bad.

I have been fine wearing soft contact lenses for the last 15 years, but decided to get PRK for the convenience of not having the contacts.

Is is worth it, or should I just stick with my contacts considering the risks involved with my high prescription?

All comments are appreciated...I need to decide about this surgery within the next 2 days!
