PRK & Lasik

I had PRK preformed in one eye (-11) and lasik in the other (-8.50) on 12/15/06 and have been extremely happy with the results. Due to the large correction needed in my right eye, my doctor recommended PRK. I did experience intense pain , in my PRK eye, for the first 24 hours after surgery, but by Day 2 almost felt normal. I wore the contact for six days and was much more comfortable once it was removed. I experienced very little pain in the Lasik eye, the biggest problem was extreme light sensitivity. On the morning after follow up, I was seeing 20/20 from my Lasik eye, but couldn't hold my PRK eye open long enough to read the chart. By Day 6 I was 20/30 in the PRK eye and I notice it continues to improve. I have not experienced any of the halos or starbursts while night driving. It's really great to bid rid of glasses and contacts after 35 years!
