William Harold Fleming, Jr, age 87 (pictured below, left), passed away on March 18, 2006 at The Moorings of Arlington Heights due to natural causes. It took me a little while to write this entry and I still have one more to do...
Obituary
Mr. Fleming was born on August 23, 1918 in Akron, Ohio. He was a graduate of Akron University and was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the United States Navy as a "lighter than air" pilot. During his non-military career, Mr. Fleming worked as a Banker. He retired as a Trust Officer at Republic Bank, where he worked for nearly 25 years. Mr. Fleming formerly lived in Los Angeles and Dallas. He moved to the Chicagoland area from Dallas, TX in 1991. He resided in Elmhurst until January, 2002 and has resided at The Moorings in Arlington Heights since that time.
Mr. Fleming was a proud Eagle Scout, devout reader, Cubs fan and animal lover. Mr. Fleming was also an advocate of child and adult education and most recently served on the Board at The Moorings, where he helped promote continuing education among the staff.
